What’s more on BcStep, for Developers ?

BcStep is the first-ever centralized platform for the construction industry, designed to coordinate and monitor all construction activities across design teams, management, construction teams, suppliers, and financial institutions. Data sharing among team members has been simplified to ensure clarity on the latest information circulating among team members, as well as the status and ownership of project data. BcStep's Developer client can access project data and document shared without relying on any assistant.
Crucially, BcStep's Developer client always knows who is connected to their project, who is sharing their project documents and which team members or 3rd parties have access to their project documents, ensuring complete transparency. They are promptly notified when anyone creates sub-users and share project documents with third parties.

Real-time Information Flow and Optimized Information Management

Real-time information sharing is vital for the Developer client, given that projects involve planning, finalization, and execution across different offices. BcStep facilitates the availability of consistent information to all concerned parties throughout the project lifecycle, even when new teams join later in the project.

Whether managing drawing, cost, timeline, purchase, contract, billing, or quality, BcStep optimizes information flow. During project execution, BcStep guides users through necessary steps and ensures adherence to the required sequence.

Concept Stage Collaboration and GFC tracking

At the concept stage, BcStep seamlessly connects architects, consultants, and developers to track comments received from all planning members. These comments are recorded and retained throughout the project for future reference.

BcStep addresses the Developer's concerns about ensuring that only the latest issued plans are used at the construction site. The GFC (Good for Construction) module allows architects/consultants to issue plans, ensuring that duplicate uploads are prevented. Each GFC-drawing is time-stamped, providing a clear history of revisions. Developer offices receive records of visits to project sites from architects, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.

Unique Tendering & Comparative processes

At the concept stage, BcStep's tendering platform ensures transparency by allowing the developer's office to obtain quotes from suppliers/contractors with secure encryption. This encryption, controlled by senior authorized personnel, maintains confidentiality until authorized for disclosure. The auto-comparative process and notifications for unusual pricing, deviating by more than 20%, aid in identifying genuine vendors. The comprehensive tracking of revised pricing, regardless of frequency, provides senior decision-makers with complete control and insights, facilitating the selection of the best vendor for the job. .

The tendering system includes a notification feature that alerts senior personnel if a tendering engineer overlooks a received revised quote from any vendor. This proactive notification ensures that all relevant information is considered in the comparative analysis. Moreover, vendors are restricted from sending revised quotes until permitted by the developer's office, adding an additional layer of control to the tendering process. This feature enhances communication and oversight, preventing oversights in the evaluation of revised quotes.

Tracking Signing of Checklists, Curing stages, Rectification of Quality-Notices/Snags and Testing of Materials

BcStep also addresses concerns about timely testing and monitoring of activities at the site. Invoicing prompts the site team to sign checklists, and checklist signing prompts the upload of test reports, curing, ponding, etc. This ensures enforcement of required all quality processes. Contractors are informed of instant quality matters and snag points, tracked until satisfactory resolution. Architects, consultants and visiting faculties can also report quality matters effortlessly.

Material tracking, from BOQ to MRS to PO to delivery and storage, is seamlessly managed in BcStep. Dispatch records from suppliers/contractors/sub-contractors automatically reach the developer's office, site team, and security team. Complaints to supplying companies are communicated efficiently, allowing for better and timely responses. The developer's office can monitor which test reports are verified by the architects or consultants and which ones are not.

Optimizing Resources

BcStep eliminates non-productive tasks for the engineering site team, as Daily Work Reports (DWR) are prepared by contractors and their site supervision teams. The developer/PMC's engineering team can modify these reports as needed. Automatic updates on labour attendance in DWR, as soon labours mark their attendance, ensures focus of engineering team only on productive works.

BcStep simplifies the process of creating meeting agendas and minutes. Individual offices involved in the meeting can prepare agendas, while MOM (Minutes of the Meeting) are also prepared by the respective offices. Later, the developer/PMC's office can edit these submissions for accuracy.

Tracking available for resources like machinery and formwork/scaffolding/safety materials further aids in optimizing available resources & overall project efficiency.

In summary, BcStep acts as a SuperManager for the Developer office, facilitating inquiries, tracking all works, and maintaining comprehensive project records for various stakeholders, including employees, architects, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and financial institutions
